Hi.
Ever felt a little shy about saying that simple phrase? Well, today, shyness is banned. Today, if you’re here, you’re family. No lurking around like you don’t belong. Introduce yourself. Say hi. Share a thought or two.

I think I found you through “Picturing Food”, and added your syndication because I love your photography so very much. I enjoy your blog because your love of food is amazing.

Hello! I don’t even remember how I found you but I do love the daily dose of pretties on your site.
I’m from Minnesota and am gearing up for fresh asparagus and morel mushrooms!

Kells - Oh hai!
Thanks for continuing to read even though I’m not over at LJ anymore. My love of food IS amazing!
It is remembered in stories and songs!
C - Yes, well, you and I go a ways back. We just need to find you a good farmers’ market. Your inner veggie would go bonkers.
A - Eep! Stalker!
Stacie - Thanks!
Oooooo morels. You make me jealous.

I’m in the middle of the Sonoran Desert, and our “farmers markets” are full of ridiculous amounts of citrus, but not much else. I come here to salivate over pictures of ripe, juicy fruits, mostly, and to dream of a day when I can live somewhere with actual food that comes (miraculously!) out of the ground. I believe it was your blog that made me look twice at the small package of Medjool dates at the supermarket, which are my new favorite thing. (You mean candy grows on trees?)

Hai! I live in sunny Melbourne (pron. “Melbun”) in the South East of Australia. That means it’s Autumn here and we have a temperate climate, I found you via a LJ spotlight. We have lovely farmer’s markets here and I go across the state to attend - but my camera is broken and I’m not in a position to replace it.
I like looking at your summer fruit photos when they are a mere memory to me, and eating strawberries when you’ve looking and frost!
Does anyone else here listen to Evan Kleinman on KCRW? I just love her podcast to bits - been listening to it for years.
I’m currently hunting for some organic garlic to grow - I’m totally sick of the bleached tasteless stuff from China!

you really inspired me to get off my butt and go to the farmer’s market more often. now it’s part of my weekly routine. thank you

Hi! I can’t remember how I found your blog on LJ, but I started following it because of your lovely photos, which I’m always thrilled to see. They have such beautiful colors! I’m also really enjoying the bento posts and flickr notes.

I found your blog on LJ at some point. I’m a bit of a foodie and love learning about things that I had not heard of on your blog. Plus, I’m really into healthy eating so I love all of your bits about different kinds of produce.
Also, I’m from Florida originally, living in Chicago now, and miss the Farmer’s Markets all year long. So your blog is a bit like a taste of home for me, so to speak.

I admit it. I lurk. I keep waiting for you to reveal the great coffee place you’ve found in L.A. that’s just like Paris…
-sigh-

I love to read your blog. Your farmer’s market excursions make me jealous, even though I live in Seattle where we are very lucky to have a collection of markets open all year that have really really great local and organic stuff. I can never get the courage to take pictures of the vendors’ tables though, since I don’t know anyone of them well enough. someday maybe!

I’m a new lurker as of this week and found your blog through the wordpress tag surfer. I love the pictures of your Bento meals! Everything looks so healthy and fresh- just as it should be!

Yes, I admit, I’m a lurker. But I live in Pasadena, and I really appreciate your Farmer’s Market reports, especially when you post them before I hit the tail end of the market.
It’s a wonderful preview of the what’s waiting for me, and has definitely led to me trying new things that I wouldn’t have otherwise. Thanks so much for reporting on our little corner of the world!

Hi! I’m de-lurking.
April 11, 2008 at 8:27 am
Hi TV, I’m de-lurking because almost every person who has commented so far is female and I wanted to make sure that you know there are some male followers that love the pics and food and that even though (especially so?) some of your descriptions cannonball into the deep end of the sensual, I am here with only the purist of intentions. (I LOVE food!)

HAI!
You know me, of course, I’ve been here since the beginning. But I’m popping in again to show that I am still a faithful reader.
I loved your France posts, and of course your produce pix.

Although it is way beyond the original de-lurk date, I realized today you hadn’t been posting to lj anymore and have been catching up. As a Silver Spring transplant to Philadelphia, (who will be visiting San Francisco for the first time in a few weeks) it’s nice to hear you talking about good farmer’s markets back here, as well as the spectacular ones you are now privy to!

Thanks Pam. And everyone else for delurking
Going to have to do another one of these soon….
